| 英文描述 | Atrial standstill is characterized by a slow heart beat, regular rhythm, and an absence of P waves with escape-type QRS complexes on ECG. There was an associated fasioscapulohumoral-type muscular dystrophy in the Spaniel and Shih Tzu breeds which can be confirmed by muscle biopsy. Dx by ECG. Serum electrolytes are normal, and there is no increase in heart rate after atropine or exercise. Atrial standstill has also been reported with hyperkalemia. |
